TEST 2

Test 2) Full Billboard

1) Rolling the poster out can be done better, we had too many creases. Smoother gel, securing the top better, hanging the paper and working the creases out before putting the surrounds on.

2) we liked the flame starting along the bottom, we lit from the back, so it appeared more natural. We had gel on the front of the poster at the bottom edge which we couldn’t see and that caught well, looked less like the flame bar and allowed the bar to blend in more naturally

3) Smoke was light and hardly visible, which is great. Sections of the poster lifted, but on the whole it was a steady, consistent burn.

4) we put a bit of gel on the front on the Doritos (not logo) which you can see caught quickly. We have mixed views on this -it encourages flames on the front of the poster which looks amazing, but does speed the burn up a bit. Do you want flames on the front of the poster, or to slow things down?

5) the wind was blowing from camera right, which slowed the ignition and burn on the right hand side of the image. We will put a bit of gel up the right hand side on Monday to help that catch better, the wind was an issue, blowing the flames around the side of the board, which stopped the right catching early.

6) We will pay particular attention to make sure that the Billboard and surrounds will be a little more protected from the wind effect. The forecast and real-time weather needs careful attention too and application of gel must take this into consideration.

-overall we were very happy

-rain was very light and cleared up shortly afterwards

Test 2) Blue Paragel pasted onto the board behind the paper

https://vimeo.com/801813539

Password: rupert

-burn was great, quite fast, consistent and intense

-because the gel soaked through the paper, burn looked great (fire licking the front!)

Test 3) White Paragel pasted onto the board behind the paper

-burn was great, quite fast, consistent and intense

Test 4) White Paragel pasted onto the front of the paper (bottom 1’)

https://vimeo.com/801830141

Password: rupert

-trying to encourage a slightly slower burn with less Paragel

-staples helped keep the poster down

-gel affected the look of the bottom of the poster

-gel allowed a good steady burn in lower section

-top section wasn’t so good, needs gel

Test 5) White with squiggle (Y shape) of Paragel behind

https://vimeo.com/801835472

Password: rupert

-trying to encourage a slightly slower burn with less Paragel
