APPLICATION TO SHOOT:

PLEASE READ THE NOTES BELOW, AND FILL IN THE APPLICATION CAREFULLY (it will form part of your agreement to film and we work through this document with you, following recces and tech recces etc). Thanks for your interest in filming at RAD.

RAD is a privately owned brand new business park, about to expand, and available for filming. It is smart, clean, modern, graphic and empty, which means it can easily be cordoned off and is great for those challenging, high profile or sensitive/embargoed shoots that require complete control. It is right beside City Airport, so access is great, parking abundant and you may know that Royal Albert Way duel carriageway can be controlled for additional driving shots (through the Film Office) and Excel is around the corner.

RAD offers:

  • Unit Base:
    The site has a large unit base with easy access for large vehicles. It is included as part of the location fee, unlike many other locations that might charge additionally. The unit base parking can, however, be hired independently from the location if required.

  • Additional Facilities:
    Security, toilets, green rooms, water, electricity, lights etc can be arranged as well as site engineers who can be available if you have technical requirements, including power & electrics, surveying & weight calms to be dockside or simply turning lights & lift on.

  • Safety Regulations:
    Because we are next to City Airport we have to pay particular attention to sensitive shoots involving things like drones, weapons, explosions etc. Please remember to include anything that might attract the attention of the Airport Security or SO19 in your application!

  • RAMS:
    A site specific RAMS document to cover all your activity, as well as a covid-19 specific RAMS are required at least 1x working day (48hrs) prior to access.

  • Public Liability Insurance:
    Please note that you will be required to provide a minimum of £10mill PLI.

  • Turnaround times:
    RAD can be turned around for filming at short notice, if it is available, but all the documentation must be in place including payment but please remember, we will need time to review your documentation etc, so have that ready.

  • Costs:
    Will be calculated on a job by job basis and will depend on your requirements; what you intend to do, hire period and times, crew size, number of vehicles etc.

  • Payment:
    An invoice will be issued once the documentation is in place, and must be paid in full (cleared funds) prior to access RAD.

  • Agreement:
    You will receive an agreement to film based on the application you have submitted which will need to be signed and returned in order to access RAD.
